Slow and labor intensive but worth it.

This printer is the slowest I've ever owned. It also requires 10 separate ink cartridges that don't seem to require replacement at the same time, resulting in constant maintenance. Now that those two complaints are out of the way, I'll also say that this printer makes the best prints that I've ever seen.

I've tried several different photo printer technologies over the years and this is by far the best. Do side-by-side comparisons against any other type of photo printer and this Pixma printer will win every time.

Another reviewer complained about cartridge availability. I haven't had that problem. I haven't checked any local stores, but Amazon carries the cartridges for this printer and they are reasonably priced (although I wish the ink would last longer in them).

If you are looking for a photo printer with great grays, great color matching, and overall great results, than you won't be disappointed in Canon on this one.
