The best business printer for 1997-1999, and worth the cost then or now!

I chose this rating because of the key fact that when you use it with contemporary computers, it is everything the HP LaserJet P4015n is to Windows 7/Mac OS X Lion, including being able to accept an envelope feeder, able to use 2 toner cartridge sizes, able to accept a second 500 sheet main input tray, able to work with a duplexer, but the differences are we like our vintage computers to have a printer that can exceed their expectations and therefore ours (we have so much Classic Mac OS software we use X only for Internet browsing, because we can't afford to replace it with X software) and it is something that I don't expect to ever replace it for at least 20 years given optimal conditions.
I wrote the review because of how much it can do, especially with certain accessories like the JetDirect J4169A plus JetDirect J3111A, an upgrade to 16MB RAM, a duplexer, dual 500 sheet main input trays, and the 100 MHz processor is fast enough. Do I wish I had 35PPM printing? Of course-but I am a home user seeking a vintage printer for vintage printer-requiring tasks, and if going for 17 PPM gets me my main goal, then I'll take the fast enough printer.
This printer blows me away, completely. I'll be hanging onto it, even though it isn't supported by Windows 7 or Lion.
I recommend this for sure.

HP 4000 laser printer - monochrome

I am writing to ask anyone in this forum if they have problems printing with this unit. I have owned mine as a "hand-me-down" from a family friend who bought this unit new, then downsized their business to work from home and just didn't need it anymore. It worked great every day. I have had the same toner in since 2010 with this one showing no signs of running out yet.
Then, suddenly there were several Windows 7 updates came through, the printer stopped working. I've tried downloading drivers, called tech support - to get no help because the printer is not in their database-so they say. I tried to revert back in time on the computer to prior to the updates without success.
Tech support tells me that I need to get the drivers from Windows. Every time I try to download the drivers, they are not recognized. I'm in a terrible spot.
Does anyone have any suggestions to get this sweet lady working again?
Powers on fine. Then does nothing.

It's Refurbish OK, but came with defective fuser assembly. Had to change same before it can work as paper keep jamming.
