nice features, pig on toner

We had a xerox 8650MFP for years and loved it! We finally decided to replace it with a smaller printer because we didn't need the faxing or scanning capabilities any more. The 6600 is a nice printer with a terrific duplexer. But it eats toner like crazy. We spent more on toner in the first month with this printer than we did on the 8650 over 6 months and our printing habits have not changed. It's horrible. At this time we have had the printer for only 2 1/2 months and have spent more on toner than we did on the printer. We have spoken to xerox who were not helpful at all. At this time it would be cheaper for us to just throw away the printer and find one that is more cost effective. What a waste!

Excellent performance

I purchased this printer to replace an earlier Xerox Phaser (that cost 3X as much, but lasted over 8 years and two moves). I've had it now for about a month and the performance has been excellent, as I would expect from Xerox. I've printed several hundred pages, but the starter toner supply is still good. Setup was so easy that I really didn't need the instructions. I am looking forward to a long and happy relationship with this printer.
