This works great

I have a windows xp computer and I was afraid what if this printer does not work due to some driver issue.
The package has a printer, a installation CD, an USB cable i.e. interface to computer and power cable.
I unpack the package and then powered up the printer. I then connected USB cable to my PC. My PC did recognize the USB device but didn't go for driver installation. At once I thought that now it should work. Then I put paper in the printer.
At the right side of printer there is push sign which need some pressure of your finger and upper deck will open up.
You just need to place your paper roll at right place. There is no holder so you don't need to search for it.
Now put the installation CD into cd driver.
go to printer\POS58 Driver
run setup.exe
This will setup the pos printer
If you don't run this setup you will not be able to print.
Now you can write your document/receipt in microsoft word and print it. In the print option pos printer will show.
That is amazing. I had initial difficulty in finding setup.exe but once installed it is smooth.

Got this unit in ahead of schedule to Hawaii. Great seller and fast shipping. Paired this unit with Quickbooks and it runs flawlessly. We will be getting another one when we decide to open another terminal. Can't beat it for the price.

Excellent printer and works on Android

I am writing an Android Application that needs to print using an USB printer. This printer was recognized by usbManager.getDeviceList() as any USB device without problems. This is the POS-5870 (label on bottom of printer).
Printing is clean, clear and works as expected.
Be cautious I also tried POS-5890T, that is not recognized as a device nor accessory by Android, the printers are identical in external appereance. (I wrote a negative comment on the other printer., Brainydeal SC9-2012)
