Nice printer and camera

I bought this for my daughter (8 yrs old) and she loves it. Great printer and camera for the money. Takes good pictures and is easy to use. Printer is fairly quick too. Be sure to buy some rechargeable batteries because the camera will use up regular batteries pretty quick. I bought the duracell 15 minute charger with four 2400mpa batteries and they are great!

This item did not work correctly. The photo docking station was supposed to charge the camera, but did not. It took fine pictures in the 5 minutes that it would hold a charge. It had to be returned and was more trouble than it was worth.

Does NOT work with Newer Mac's

Bought it, tried to load/connect to my macbook pro wouldnt work. called manufacturer and they said that they had bought the company and that they do not support that product so i'm screwed.

It works on my windows desktop fine, but i bought it to take it on the go with the laptop. i already have a desktop printer for photos.

Small, light weight, very portable, good quality prints

First of all this is small enough to carry with you, light enough and portable enough. Quality is good, not great but worth five stars for price, and mobility. I can go to a function, take photos and make prints on the spot with no need for ink. As long as there is paper for it I think it is great.

Good For My Purpose, May Not Be For Everyone

I purchased this printer as an after-Christmas sale item for a good price. I was taking a chance on this item, but I'm happy to say that it was a good buy. However, it may not be for everyone.

Firstly, my frame of comparison for usability is the standard Polaroid. That may sound strange at first, but the comparison comes from how I intend to use this product. The thing I love most about the Polaroid cameras of yesteryear was the fun factor. You got to take pictures spontaneously and immediately share them. If you gave it away, it was a one-of-a-kind physical memento. When I bought this printer, my intention was to use it similarly. If I'm with a group of people and someone snaps a good shot, I can use this printer to print it out right on the spot. It's definitely small enough to take with you, and since I have a three-prong power adapter for my car, I can power it pretty much anywhere. The photos, of course, are not one-of-a-kind, but it's really great to have a physical copy available for people to enjoy.

As far as the photo quality itself is concerned, this device makes satisfactory prints. I've had some problems with monochrome pictures having some blues in with them, and color photos come out looking slightly overexposed and oversaturated, but the pictures are smooth, smudge-free, and have a nice feel in your hands. One cautionary note about this printer - the aspect ratio is a strict 3:2 with no options to crop or resize your picture. The printer will crop automatically from the center if your picture doesn't fit. This can lead to the edges of your composition being chopped out of the final product.

I do not intend to use this product for display purposes, although for most shots it could hack it. There are plenty of brick-and-mortar stores that make quality prints for cheaper than you can make them with this device (though at $0.38 a print, this device isn't exactly breaking the bank), and the only paper option you have with this machine is glossy. I personally prefer matte for display items, but again this printer is more about spontaneous fun than it is making display items.
